    • So the kids and I went on a weekend adventure last weekend.  We got to see some of mommy's friends and we went to Childrens Wonderland. We were gonna goto the zoo and see Christmas lights but it was to cold one day and the next night it rained   Oh well guess there is always next year.  So here are some pictures I took of the kids and of Childrens Wonderland.... it was pretty neat, they had this wax thing at the end that you could make that made sculptures of christmas things, ie: reindeer, santa, snowman, train, polarbear, and angel.  Okay well for some reason I can't get the pictures directly in here so you can check them out here.  We saw santa too but I don't have the cd with me to post the picture right now of that.  So... thats whats up here.

  • Well I suppose its time for a short update... Things here are well... crazy... turns out 2 kids keeps you a bit busier than 1!  lol Anyways... Natalie is doing great.  She was 11 lbs 8 ozs and 22 inches at her last appointment 2 weeks ago.  Cameron LOVES her... he says that she is HIS Natalie.  And looks like I'll be heading back to Georgia June 22.  I have so many mixed feelings about it.  Part of me wants to stay and part of me wants to go... I mean I love being here with family and all my friends... but I also want to go back to my own house and nice warm weather! Oh and the beach!!! But when it actually comes down to it I have to go back cause mom is tired of the dogs.  ugh.  So... we are like almost 6 months through the deployment... 4 till r&r and 9 till homecoming.  I can't believe Natalie is going to be like 6 months old when Shaun finally comes home for the first time... not that it matters cause he only has to leave again.  Oh a plus side I actually weigh 155... thats only 20 pounds more than what I weighted before Cameron!  wow... I'm doing amazing losing weight and I'm not even trying!  I think it has something to do with nursing and my sugar is under control!! Go me!  Theres more randomness running through my head but nothing I care to write about here... so... if anyone here in Ohio wants to see me before i leave... get ahold of me!  Oh and we're going to the zoo at the end of the month... and we have tickets for Thomas the train next weekend!!  And here are some new pictures of the kids and my new glasses too!

  • So this is pretty much just going to be a little mind dump.  I have a few things floating around in my head and there is no particular organization to any of it.

Okay... first off I am sooo freakin excited!  I went to the doctor yesterday for my post baby checkup.  I was happy to begin with knowing that I had only actually gained 13 pounds this pregnancy.  And Natalie was 8 lbs 4 ozs... so I figured with fluid and everything else I only gained baby weight!  Well... I went to the doctor and found out that I have actually lost 30 pounds since I've had Natalie!  That means I've lost an additional 17 pounds!  I have no idea how (yeah so don't ask!).  I'm assuming it has something to do with breastfeeding, chasing a toddler, oh and eating healthier.  I'm just so excited that I had to post it!  Oh and my doctor didn't even recognize me since I've had her!  lol... shes like oh my god Lauren, your sooo skinny!  lol  Yeah... so I'm feeling pretty good.  I went shopping last week and got some new cute summer clothes, and painted my toes  Now I just need to find a bright summery hair color.  Other than the icky stretch marks that Miss. Natalie has left across my belly, I for the first time in a long time feel good about myself and my appearance.  I'll be staying in ohio till sometime in June after my birthday, then I'll head back home to Georgia.  Oh and we are 5 months through the deployement, 5 months till r&r, and 10 months till this crap of a deployement ends.  I'm going to the eye doctor tomorrow so I'm getting new contacts and glasses!  Yay!  That means I will actually be able to wear my glasses (and be able to see!) when I don't feel like putting in contacts!  Also Shaun wants me to look into lasik to see if I'm a canidate.... apparently hes tired of paying for eye exams, contacts and glasses every year. And in 2 weeks I'm going to the dentist and then hopefully getting the crown for this tooth that has needed one since last year but had to wait cause i was pregnant.  I feel like I'm actually getting things accomplished.... hopefully I can bottle some of this energy for when I get home and have to mass clean and unpack... hey anyone wanna go to georgia and help clean?  It'll be warm... and I'll take you to the beach too!  lol.  Oh and we got a small pool for at home!  One with a filter and everything!  Nothing huge... well not for me at least but huge for Cameron.  I'm excited.  We'll be able to spend more time outside... I need to get some kind of canopy/unbrella/roof of some sort for the deck though so that Miss. Natalie can hang out there and not have to worry about the sun on her.  And I need to finish doing the stenciling in Natalies room and get it put together too.  Not to mention that I need to go through all the toys in camerons room cause there is like no room for the new toys from christmas and his birthday.  Well on that note... I think I'm done rambling for a bit... I'll leave with a picture or two of my babies

  • Natalie's Birth Story

So Monday, March 24 I had my doctors appointment and was scheduled to be induced on the 27th.  Well... that night after I got home I wasn't feeling the greatest.  I started having contractions and eventually started throwing up.  Around 11 pm I decided to head to the hospital.  We got there and they ended up sending us home.  Well that WHOLE night I was throwing up.  I felt HORRIBLE!

Tuesday, March 25, I am STILL throwing up.  It was to the point that I was drinking water just so I had something to throw up.  YUCK!  So Shauns mom came and picked up Cameron in the morning and I laid in bed hoping to get better.  Well... at 2 pm I decided that I was seriously sick.  So I called the doctor and headed into the hospital to get some fluids because I was dehydrated.  I got there and found out that I had a temperature of 102.5   Yeah... so I got admitted to the hospital.  And we found out that I had a kidney infection AGAIN!

Wednesday, March 26, My doctor came in to talk to me.  I had an infectious disease doctor consulting and was put on 2 antibiotics and she said your not leaving this hospital till you have the baby!    Unfortunately we had to cancel the induction because of the infection... boo.  However, my temperature finally broke and I could keep down food!  YAY!

Thursday, March 27, I'm finally feeling much better but my blood test came back with me extremely anemic... sooo... I gained a blood doctor consult too.  So I was taking 2 iron pills, prenatal vitamins, and they decided to give me iron through my iv as well... that stuff looks nasty... its like brown sludge looking stuff.  So then about 11 pm at night my doctor comes in and says... we're gonna go ahead and induce you tomorrow around 10 am. YIPPY!

Friday, March 28.  My nurse comes in at  6:30 and is like we're ready to move you to start your induction   I was like what happened to 10?!?!  So I got a quick shower, got my stuff together and moved to my labor and delivery suite.  I got all my vitals taken, got hooked up to the monitors, they hooked up the monitor and webcam for my video conference with Shaun.  I started panicing cause I hadn't talked to Shaun and he didn't know that we were having the baby.  Expessually since the last time I talked to him we were gonna get induced on Saturday!  About 9:15 am they started the pitocin.  I was already having contractions we just needed to get them steady and close together.  At 11 am I got my epidural.  I finally got a hold of Shaun and he showed up on the monitor around 11:30 am.  Around 1 pm my water broke on its own.  It was a strange feeling, I didn't know if I peed myself or if it was my water... yeah... it was amusing.  Then at like 3:30 pm I started feeling alot of pressure and I was at 7 cm... then at 3:45 I was 9 cm.  So we called the doctor and told her to hurry up... 3:50 I was complete and we were waiting for the doctor to get there for me to push!  Let me tell you... it is NOT easy waiting for the doctor to come when you have the pressure to push.  So finally the doctor comes in and is like do i have time to change... I'm like you totally better hurry up!!  So at 4:30 I started pushing and Miss. Natalie entered the world at 4:50.  It was kinda hecktic having the media come in and taking pictures and what not.  Shaun was on the webcam with us till about 5:45.  It was an amazing experience.  I suppose having Shaun on the webcam was the next best thing to him actually being here.

Saturday, March 29.  I talked to the reporter for the Canton Repository.  Natalie is so adorable.  The morning was kinda hectic.  My mom brought Cameron upto the hospital for the video conference and Shauns parents and grandma came up too.  He got to see Natalie one last time for an hour.  After that we rested.  Oh and I got MORE iron through the iv since I'm still anemic...

Sunday, March 30.  I got to come home today!  We headed out right before lunch.  I had I think almost every nurse there to tell me bye   We were quite the celebrities there. lol.  Oh and we were on the very front page of the paper!  I feel special.  It was sooo nice to come home though.

So thats the story... someday I'm sure Miss. Natalie is going to love her birth story.  So little and causing sooo much drama already!  Shes a great baby.  She eats every 2 hours.  I feel like all I do is feed her!  lol.  But shes good.  Not colicy or anything.  I really have been blessed with 2 wonderful children.  Cameron is adjusting to having to share mommy.  He is really testing me.  Somedays are better than others.  He loves to hold baby sister and likes to sing to her.

Tentively I'll be staying here in Ohio till sometime after my birthday in June.  Part of me wants to stay here but part of me can't wait to get back home to Georgia.  We've got 5 more months till Shaun comes home on R&R, and roughly 10 more till he comes home for good.
